Enhanced Lifestyle Images for Deeper Engagement

Following our initial announcement of asset generation in Performance Max, we have continued to expand and refine our technology. This enables you to produce high-quality assets that resonate with your audience and yield strong results. Over the past year, we expanded asset generation into six additional languages, introduced it to new campaign types such as Demand Gen, and enhanced our image generation model.

Leveraging the capabilities of Imagen 3, we are now introducing the ability to generate images containing adult people and faces using text prompts across Performance Max, Demand Gen, Display, and Apps campaigns. After conducting extensive user research and implementing protocols and safeguards, we meet the high expectations of advertisers for quality while adhering to Google’s stringent product and design principles and clear Ads policies. For instance, generating images of branded products, public figures like politicians and celebrities, minors, or sensitive content will not be permitted. All generated images will be tagged with SynthID to provide transparency into AI-generated images.

This new feature allows you to create captivating lifestyle imagery to better engage with your customers. For example, if you’re an instructor seeking to drive enrollments for cooking classes, you could use a simple prompt like “person cooking” or be more specific with “middle-aged man chopping carrots.” If the initial images don’t meet your expectations, you can generate more variations or add descriptive details like age, gender, race, ethnicity, and nationality to the prompt for customization. If you’re not satisfied with the generated images, you can “Hide” them and provide feedback to enhance our AI. Throughout the process, you maintain control over the creative elements and approve every image before it goes live.
