With the integration of Samsung Digital Keys into Samsung Wallet, the company is now planning to extend its digital key support to Volvo and Polestar vehicles, following the addition of Audi cars to the list in November 2024.

The functionality of Samsung Wallet has been enhanced with the integration of Samsung Digital Keys, which will also be available to Volvo and Polestar car owners, providing them with a more comprehensive experience.

Essentially, Samsung Digital Keys enable users to lock, unlock, and start their cars, as well as open the trunk, using Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) directly from their Galaxy smartphones, eliminating the need to physically retrieve their keys.

Additionally, these digital keys offer advanced security features and protection against unauthorized access, thanks to their EAL6+ security standards, which provide an extra layer of security.

One of the key benefits of Samsung Digital Keys is that if a user’s phone is lost or stolen and contains digital keys, the owner of a supported car, including Volvo, Polestar, Audi, and others, can easily lock or delete the digital key using Samsung Find, while Samsung Wallet ensures the security and privacy of the user’s car through biometric or PIN-based authentication.

As Samsung Digital Keys play a crucial role in providing a seamless experience, the company aims to make the car ownership experience more convenient and secure on a daily basis, with the partnership with Volvo and Polestar being a significant step towards this goal.
