Despite the Galaxy S25 Ultra and S25+ models coming with in-box USB cables, users have consistently encountered problems with imperfect or slow charging.

Even with 45W super-fast charging support, owners of the Samsung Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra have reported (via Reddit) experiencing slow charging issues, with many claiming to have encountered broken or irregular charging interruptions, where their devices continuously switch between charging and not charging states, despite displaying Super Charging 2.0 on the lock screen.

Furthermore, users have noticed that the slow charging issue seems to be caused by using Samsung’s official 45W charger, which is paired with a 5A USB-C cable. When the super-fast charging option is turned off, the smartphone continues to charge, but at a significantly slower speed.

In contrast, owners of the base Galaxy S25 model have not been affected by this issue, as their device only supports 25W fast charging.

It is commendable that Samsung is already aware of the fast charging issue and has assured users that it will be fixed with a future update. While the company works on bringing the fix as quickly as possible, Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra owners are advised to either switch to a 3A USB-C cable or simply turn off the fast charging option.

The latest Galaxy S25 devices from Samsung are indeed feature-packed, but issues like this are disappointing to fans. The company is expected to provide a solution to resolve the charging issue affecting the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra units.
