The February 2025 security update has been spotted on carrier-locked and unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 units in the US, with availability on Verizon, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, USCellular, and Comcast carriers. The update can be identified by its F946USQS5DYA5 and F731USQS5DYA5 version numbers.
In contrast, carrier-unlocked Galaxy 5th gen foldables have F946U1UES5DYA7 and F731U1UES5DYA7 build numbers.
The February 2025 software patch primarily focuses on providing the latest Android security patches and fixes for vulnerabilities identified by Google and Samsung, ensuring enhanced protection against external threats and a safer user experience. It does not introduce any major new features or changes.
Additionally, the update improves system stability and includes performance optimizations to deliver a more stable and efficient user experience.
