Samsung Releases February 2025 Software Update for Galaxy Devices

Samsung has started releasing a fresh software update in February 2025 for a few Galaxy devices, including the Fan Edition model, S23 FE; the 4th Gen foldables, Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4; a series unit, A34; and the Tab S8, S8+, and S8 Ultra. The update integrates the February 2025 security patch and is currently rolling out in the company’s hometown, South Korea.

Device Models and Build Numbers

The build numbers indicate that the update is based on Android 14 and runs on One UI 6.1 over the top. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 carry F936NKSS5GYA5 and F721NKSS5GYA5 version numbers, while the update for Galaxy S23 FE units has been spotted with the S711NKSS5BYB1 version. Similarly, the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup, including Galaxy Tab S8, S8+, and S8 Ultra, comes with X700XXS9CYB1, X800XXS9CYB1, and X900XXS9CYB1 version numbers, and the Galaxy A34 has the A346NKSS9CYA2 build number.

Important Security Updates and Fixes

The February 2025 security update is only a little over 400MB, but it has a lot of important fixes that were recommended by both Google and Samsung. These fixes are needed to fix all the security holes that were fixed in the previous version, so that users can feel safe and the device is safe from harm and risks.

System Performance Enhancements

The update further offers a smoother and more efficient system performance and functionality by integrating certain stability into the overall system behavior, bringing performance optimizations, and applying all the latest security patches.

Availability and Expansion

For now, the new February update for all the aforementioned devices is only limited to South Korea, while it’s expected to be expanded to more eligible regions over the next few days.
