Adobe Unveils Generative AI Video Tools in Public Beta
Adobe’s Firefly Video Model is now in public beta, marking the company’s claim of being the first commercially safe generative AI video model in the market. Previously, this technology was only available as part of Adobe Premiere Pro’s Generative Extend, but it can now be accessed through a standalone Firefly web app.
What Can Firefly Video Model Do?
The Firefly Video Model powers Adobe’s Generate Video feature, which can create video clips from a text prompt or an image. This technology is not only capable of generating video content but also editing images, turning them into videos, creating 3D worlds, and more.
A New Level of Transparency
One of the unique features of Firefly Video Model is its emphasis on transparency. The AI-generated content is marked with watermarks indicating the use of AI assistance, allowing users to check the authenticity of the content through Adobe’s Content Authenticity web app and the Inspect tool.
Integration with Adobe Creative Cloud Apps
The Firefly web app seamlessly integrates with Adobe Creative Cloud apps such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Express, and more. The latest update includes several new features, including video generation and scene-to-image generation with fine-tuning capabilities. Users can create images from 3D sketches and translate audio and video into supported languages.
Pricing Plans
Adobe offers two pricing plans: Firefly Standard and Firefly Pro. The Firefly Standard plan grants access to 2,000 video/audio credits per month and 20 five-second 1080p video generations. The Firefly Pro plan increases the number of credits to 7,000 and video generations to 70. Additionally, a Firefly Premium plan for professionals is scheduled to launch soon. Users can currently purchase a Firefly Standard subscription for $10 per month or a Firefly Pro subscription for $30 per month.
