New Star Wars Updates Coming to Disneyland Resort

Disneyland Resort is gearing up for the Season of the Force special event, which includes several exciting updates and new experiences. Galaxy’s Edge will be a central hub for these arrivals.

Luke Skywalker’s Meet and Greet

One of the most anticipated updates is the arrival of Luke Skywalker, who will be making a limited-time appearance at Galaxy’s Edge. This is part of a larger journey across the stars and offers a unique opportunity for fans to meet the legendary Jedi Master.

Savi’s Workshop Gets a New Lightsaber Update

Savi’s Workshop, the immersive experience where guests can build their own elegant lightsabers, is getting a new storyline. Starting May 4, guests will be able to use "scraps" that have been scavenged by different pirates throughout the galaxy. This new twist could be inspired by the Disney+ series "Skeleton Crew." There have been rumors of a potential lightsaber training experience at Savi’s, which was previously available at the Galactic Starcruiser, but it’s unclear if this will become a permanent offering.

Fire of the Rising Moons Projection Show

A new projection addition to the fireworks show at the Black Spire Outpost’s main hub will be making its return on March 28. "Fire of the Rising Moons" will depict legendary moments of Star Wars lore in "Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga." Limited viewing areas will be available for guests to enjoy the show, with John Williams’ classic Star Wars score playing throughout the land.

Tomorrowland Returns with Hyperspace Mountain

Tomorrowland is getting back into action with its Hyperspace Mountain overlay at Space Mountain. Fans can look forward to a new destination for "Star Tours," which has gained popularity with the release of the Disney+ series "Skeleton Crew." It remains to be seen if the attraction will be expanded to include new content inspired by "Skeleton Crew."

Season of the Force and After-Hours Events

The Season of the Force event will be park-wide during the day for paying theme park guests. For fans who want a more immersive experience, Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite offers after-hours parties with special Star Wars experiences and character meet and greets. The event runs on select nights from April 8 to May 6.
