Samsung’s One UI 7: A Major Upgrade for Galaxy Devices

Samsung’s One UI 7 is the largest upgrade in the One UI series, introducing significant changes and improvements for Galaxy device users. One of the notable features is the inclusion of a refresh rate up to 120Hz in the Game Booster settings.

One UI 7 Users Can Now Set a Higher 120Hz Refresh Rate

The new feature was first introduced with the One UI 7 Beta 3 build in Galaxy S24 devices. Samsung has now expanded this capability to the Galaxy S25 series with the Gaming Hub’s Game Booster, allowing users to set their default refresh rate to 120Hz. This enables users to switch between 60 and 120 Hz, providing a smoother gaming experience.

Gaming Motion Smoothness

The new capability can be found under the Gaming motion smoothness settings. With the improved Gaming Hub, the Game Booster offers more flexibility to gamers, leading to a more enjoyable gaming experience.

One UI 7 Allows Customizations for Individual Games

In addition to the higher refresh rate, One UI 7 also introduces a Customizations for Individual Games option under the Game Booster settings. This feature enables users to customize individual games, including options such as game optimizations, FPS (frames per second), screen resolution, and frame booster. The FPS begins at 20 Hz at its lowest and can go up to 60 Hz.

One UI 7 Availability

As of now, only the Galaxy S25 series smartphones are running the stable Android 15-based One UI 7 version. The aforementioned changes are exclusive to the newer flagships. Samsung may release another beta version, but fans of the Galaxy S24 series will have to wait for the stable version, which is currently delayed.
