Blade Runner 2049 Memorabilia Up for Auction

A new Propstore auction is now live, featuring over 200 pieces of memorabilia from the highly acclaimed sci-fi film, Blade Runner 2049. The auction includes a wide range of items, from costumes worn by the film’s stars to more unusual and eerie pieces.

Rachael’s Skeleton Among the Eerie Ephemera

One of the most striking items in the auction is Rachael’s skeleton, which is part of a larger collection of 27 teeth and 75 bone pieces. According to Propstore’s website, the skeletal remains were seen in the morgue and lab scenes in the film. The lot exhibits wear consistent with that of bones exposed to dirt and the elements, but remains overall in very good condition.

The Story Behind Rachael’s Skeleton

For fans of the Blade Runner franchise, Rachael’s skeleton is a fascinating piece of memorabilia. In the first film, Rachael (played by Sean Young) and Rick Deckard (played by Harrison Ford) fall in love, despite the fact that she is a replicant and he is a blade runner tasked with "retiring" her. The second film reveals that they conceive a child together, but she dies after an emergency C-section. The offspring, who is not played by Ryan Gosling’s character, Officer K, is a central mystery in the film.

A Production-Made Wooden Horse

Another item up for auction is a production-made example of the wooden horse that K (played by Ryan Gosling) remembers from his troubled childhood. According to Propstore, this is not the actual "hero" horse that was used on-screen, but it would still be a unique and interesting keepsake to have around. The horse comes with the dingy rag it was concealed in.
