Predator: Killer of Killers concluded with a hint regarding the potential direction of the franchise, and it has been revealed that this was not the complete ending.

Following the escape of Torres and Kenji from the Grendel King, a scene depicts Yautja transporting a cryogenically frozen Ursa to a collection of captives. Notably, one of the prisoners is Naru, the protagonist of the 2022 film Prey, played by Amber Midthunder. During the Predator: Badlands panel at San Diego Comic-Con, an extended version of the Killers ending was presented, further disclosing that Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover), the main characters of the first two films, were also taken captive. This additional scene will be incorporated into Killer of Killers later tonight.

Prior to the release of Killers, Trachtenberg confirmed to io9 that “those who defeat the Predator are captured and frozen,” establishing the groundwork for the revelations about Dutch and Harrigan. He also expressed his intention to revisit Naru when the opportunity arose. Now that we are aware of the involvement of these three characters, Trachtenberg’s plans could begin to take shape as he guides the franchise towards its future direction.

In the meantime, Predator: Killer of Killers is available to stream on Hulu, and Predator: Badlands is scheduled to hit theaters on November 7.
