On Tuesday, Threads announced the introduction of enhanced metrics, aiming to provide users with a deeper understanding of their post performance and content discovery, as stated on the company’s website, which can be found here.
The platform’s “Insights” dashboard now offers more detailed information. Upon navigating to the “Interactions” section, users can view engagement metrics such as likes, replies, quotes, and reposts. The “Followers” section displays follower growth, including geographic data like top cities and countries, as well as demographic information such as age range and gender.
Additionally, a new chart has been introduced to showcase trends in content performance over a period of 7 to 90 days, allowing users to track changes in their post performance.
As Threads posts can be recommended to Instagram and Facebook users, the platform will now enable users to see where their content is being discovered. This includes the percentage of views driven by each app for their posts.

According to Meta-owned Threads, the updates aim to assist creators in building their audiences, expanding their presence, and understanding the types of content that resonate with their followers.
This move comes as Threads experiences rapid growth. Recent data from market intelligence provider Similarweb shows that the platform is closing the gap with its top competitor, X, in terms of mobile app users, as reported here.
In June 2025, Threads’ mobile app for iOS and Android reached 115.1 million daily active users, representing a 127.8% year-over-year growth. In contrast, X achieved 132 million daily active users, with its year-over-year growth declining by 15.2%.

As Threads continues to compete with X and other platforms, it is logical for the company to provide creators with additional tools to establish and expand their presence on the social network.
