Samsung Reveals Strategies for 2025: Galaxy Foldable Devices and More

Samsung, in an earnings call, revealed its strategies for this year (2025) regarding its forthcoming Galaxy foldable devices and more.

Recently, Samsung hosted its Galaxy Unpacked event to launch the Galaxy S25 series, including the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, and is now looking to debut one more device under the same series, the Galaxy S25 Edge.

Apart from the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung has more flagship devices in the pipeline to debut in the second half of the year, including the next-generation foldable phones. The Korean tech giant held its Q4 2024 earnings call today, and a company executive stated that it will ‘enhance’ the design and durability of its upcoming foldables while ‘diversifying’ the lineup.

The company hasn’t mentioned clearly how the Galaxy foldables (Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7) will be enhanced in terms of design and durability. It’s unveiled that Samsung will diversify its foldable lineup, suggesting that we could see a new model.

Samsung has also revealed its plans for cheaper Galaxy phones this year, coming to mid-range smartphones; the Galaxy A56 will launch soon and could feature a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging support. It remains to see exactly what will happen next during this year.

Reportedly, the company is also rumored to debut the Galaxy Z Flip FE, which will be a cheaper foldable phone that aims to expand the customer base. Potentially, it could expand the Galaxy Z Fold SE availability in more markets.
