Samsung’s January 2025 security update has been rolled out to the Galaxy S22 series of smartphones in the US, with the company now expanding the patch to European devices.

The January 2025 security patch for the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra has been spotted in some European countries, including Germany, and can be identified with the version numbers S901BXXSDEXL1, S906BXXSDEXL1, and S908BXXSDEXL1.

However, the software patch does not list any major features or changes, but rather focuses on improving the overall security of the device by integrating various fixes from both Google and Samsung collectively for all the security vulnerabilities that were addressed in the previous version, leading to a more safe and secure user experience while also protecting the device against external threats.

Additionally, the update introduces various performance optimizations, adds stability and reliability to the system behavior, applies the latest security patches, and offers improved features that help users have a smoother, more stable, and more efficient performance and functionality.

While the January patch for Samsung’s 2022 smartphones is going live in the US and Europe, it is expected to reach even more regions shortly.
