Amazon MGM’s forthcoming Masters of the Universe film has become more tangible with the release of a more detailed image of its muscular lead, He-Man.

Nicolas Galtizine, the British actor portraying He-Man in the upcoming movie, shared a photo of himself as Adam of Grayskull’s heroic alter ego, albeit from behind and shrouded in darkness. This image accompanies the announcement that filming has concluded, with Galtizine expressing his sentiments: “It’s been an honor to shoulder the responsibility of playing Adam and He-Man. This role has been a lifetime opportunity, and I’ve invested everything into it. Although I can’t reveal much, I’m extremely proud of the film we’ve created. I’d like to extend my gratitude to our exceptional cast and crew for their tireless efforts.”

Mattel has been attempting to produce a new Masters movie for several years, with Netflix previously having a project in the works starring Kyle Allen before it was cancelled. This new film is directed by Bumblebee director Travis Knight and features an ensemble cast, including Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, and Jared Leto as the primary antagonist Skeletor.

Masters of the Universe at CinemaCon, where the team described it as “a live-action fantasy film about the most powerful man in the universe.” While plot details remain scarce, the footage presented included Adam in Grayskull and a young man’s bedroom, working out in the gym, and wielding the Sword of Power as both himself and He-Man.

The release date for Masters of the Universe is set for June 5, 2026.
