The story of Samsung’s One UI 8 has been a unique one, despite the fact that the company has experienced delays in the past, such as with the rollout of One UI 7. One UI 8 Beta: The Initial Beta Process

Firstly, it’s worth noting that Samsung has made a significant effort to start One UI 8 on time, following the on-track progress of Android 16. The company launched the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series exactly two weeks ago. The first beta was initially available in Phase 1 countries, and later expanded to more countries in early June.

Simultaneously, Samsung began distributing One UI 8 beta 2 for the Galaxy S25 family, although this new build is currently limited to a few countries, excluding India and Poland.

One UI Beta Program Eligible Countries:

Historically, Samsung has followed a pattern of releasing the One UI Beta program in seven reserved countries, including South Korea, Germany, India, Poland, the US, China, and the UK. However, recently, the company appears to have removed China from the list, leaving six countries that are reserved to test the latest beta build.

With One UI 7, Samsung changed its release strategy, dividing beta testing countries into two phases. Phase 1 consists of major regions like the US, South Korea, and Germany, while the second phase includes India and Poland.

Current Availability Status: Countries and DevicesOne UI 8 Beta 1 has been released for Phase 1 countries, including Germany, South Korea, the UK, and the US, while Beta 2 is available in the same regions, excluding India and Poland, which are currently testing One UI 8 Beta 1.

At present, Samsung has only released One UI 8 Beta for the Galaxy S25 models, including the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. Although it’s expected that the company will make the latest beta build available for more eligible Galaxy models, such as the Galaxy S24 family.
