Introduction to the Olto E-Bike

Infinite Machine has made a name for itself with its innovative creations, including the retro-futuristic P1 electric bike designed for speed. However, the company’s latest offering, the Olto, is tailored more towards urban commuters. The Olto boasts an impressive range of 40 miles and a top speed of 33 MPH, with the ability to limit its speed to 20 MPH when riding in bike lanes, making it an ideal choice for daily commutes.

Design and Features of the Olto

The Olto’s design is a unique blend of futuristic and retro elements, drawing comparisons to the Cybertruck and scooters from the movie Tron. One of its standout features is its ability to accommodate two riders simultaneously, making it a practical option for those who often ride with a companion. The bike’s modular design allows for the easy addition of various accessories such as child carriers, rear racks, and baskets, enhancing its utility for commuters.

Battery and Charging

The Olto features a removable battery that can be easily taken out with one hand, facilitating nighttime charging. This battery can reach a 50% charge in just an hour when plugged into an outlet. The removable design not only simplifies charging but also enhances security, as the battery is typically one of the most valuable components of an e-bike and can be safely stored away from the bike.

Security Features

Infinite Machine has prioritized security with the Olto, claiming it to be "virtually theft-proof." Each bike is connected to the internet and can be tracked in real-time using precise GPS coordinates. An app allows owners to monitor their bike’s location and status. The Olto also features a dedicated slot for AirTags, further enhancing its security. Upon parking, the bike automatically locks its steering and wheels, making it difficult for potential thieves to move it. Any tampering with the vehicle triggers an alarm and sends an alert to the owner’s phone. Notably, the owner’s phone doubles as the key, adding a layer of convenience and security.

Pricing and Availability

Despite its impressive array of features and security measures, the Olto comes with a significant price tag of $3,495. Preorders are currently available, with shipments scheduled to begin later in the year. While the cost may be prohibitive for some, the Olto’s unique combination of style, functionality, and high-tech security features may justify the investment for those seeking a premium commuting experience.
