Introduction to Alien: Earth
In the vastness of space, streaming is impossible, but we’re excited to share the latest trailer for the upcoming TV series, Alien: Earth. This highly anticipated series has finally released a two-minute trailer, packed with exciting footage. Previously, FX had dropped a teaser, but this new trailer provides a much more detailed look at what’s to come.
Background and Production
For those unfamiliar with the series, Alien: Earth is the first TV series in the Alien franchise’s long history and is being helmed by the talented Noah Hawley, known for his work on the Fargo TV series and the underrated Marvel show Legion. Franchise creator Ridley Scott is also on board as an executive producer, ensuring the series stays true to its roots.
Plot and Setting
This prequel series is set just two years before the original film and, as the name suggests, takes place on Earth. The trailer hints at a storyline involving a ship crashing into a large corporate-controlled city, potentially carrying a fearsome Xenomorph and other alien species. A character in the clip mentions that the ship has "collected five different life forms from the darkest corners of the universe," suggesting that one of these life forms is "predatory," which could possibly include a Predator.
Premiere and Casting
Alien: Earth is set to premiere on August 12 on FX and will be available to stream on Hulu. The show boasts a talented cast, including Sydney Chandler as a hybrid robot/human lifeform tasked with investigating the crash, alongside Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, and Samuel Blenkin, among others.
