Specifically, with One UI 8, the Background blur feature in the Gallery app has been enhanced, and the blur transition effect has been improved, allowing for a smoother effect when adjusting the blur level. Additionally, the latest build includes the ability to press and hold to view the original image, enabling users to quickly compare the edited image with the original one.

Furthermore, One UI 8 has slightly refined the non-linear blur transition effect when rapidly changing the blur level, resulting in a more improved and smooth blur effect when applied to images. Besides this, Samsung is working on several other aspects expected to arrive with One UI 8, including expanded live activity support for Now Bar, improvements to the My Files app, and more. Currently, the One UI 8 beta program is open for the Galaxy S25 family, with more eligible models to follow in the future.
