Samsung is actively working on wrapping up its January 2025 security update, with Galaxy devices progressively receiving the patch in different parts of the world. In the meantime, the company is focusing on the A series, with the Galaxy A14 and Galaxy A15 units starting to receive the security update in the US.

The Samsung Galaxy A14 and Galaxy A15 smartphone owners have been spotted receiving the January 2025 security update in the US, which is available for both carrier-locked and unlocked units. It is expected to expand to more regions gradually.

Specifically, the January patch for the carrier-locked Galaxy A14 comes with the A146USQSADXL1 version number, while the carrier-unlocked units can be recognized with the A146U1UESCDXL2 build number.
Alternatively, the Galaxy A15 5G is also getting the same update and can be identified with the A156USQS5BYA3 version number for the carrier-locked devices, while the carrier-unlocked Galaxy A15 has the A156U1UES5BYA3 version number.
Details of the Update
