The rollout of Samsung’s May 2025 security patch is ongoing, with numerous devices already covered. In the meantime, Galaxy A23 units in South Korea are now receiving the security update.
Following the release of the May patch for Galaxy A53 models last week, the Galaxy A23 units are now getting the May security update in Samsung’s home country, with a wider rollout expected in the coming days.
The latest Galaxy A23 firmware is identified by the build number A235NKSS9EYE1. This update is a minor security patch that does not introduce major features or changes, instead focusing on enhancing the device’s overall security and core functionality.
It addresses a number of key bug fixes for security vulnerabilities from previous versions, providing a more secure user experience while protecting the device from external threats and risks.
Additionally, the update brings stability to the system’s behavior and includes performance optimizations, resulting in smoother, more stable, and optimized functionality. Samsung is also continuing to roll out the stable One UI 7 update to various devices, with the Galaxy A23 units eligible to receive the update, although the timing of the stable OS update for A23 owners remains to be seen.
