Samsung to Launch Galaxy A56 with 45W Charging Support

Samsung is planning to expand its mid-range Galaxy A lineup by debuting a new device named Galaxy A56, which is anticipated to be the first smartphone in its lineup to support 45W charging support.

Galaxy A Series Mid-Range Smartphones to Debut in Q1 2025

It has already been reported that Samsung is working on a few mid-range smartphones to debut in the first half of the year under the Galaxy A-series, including the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56. Both devices already made their existence in several certifications that reveal the expected specifications of the device.

Galaxy A56 FCC Certification Reveals 5G Connectivity and 45W Charging Support

Currently, the Galaxy A56 is spotted on the FCC Certification with the dedicated model number SM-A566E/DS as reported by MySmartPrice. According to the listing, the device will support GSM, WCDMA, LTE FDD, and 5G mobile connectivity. The list of supported 5G brands will include n1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 30, 40, 41, 66, 77, and 78.

45W Wired Fast Charging Technology to be a Key Feature

The certification confirms that the Galaxy A56 will support 45W wired fast charging technology; this means that it will be the first A-series device to get 45W charging support. The current Galaxy A55 smartphone features a 5000 mAh battery with 25W wired charging support.

Comparison with Galaxy S25 Series

On the side, Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S25 series, and noticeably, the base variant of the series still has 25W wired charging support. If the expectation comes true, then the Galaxy A56 will have upgraded charging support compared to the flagship Galaxy S25. It is expected that the brand could launch the device by the end of Q1 this year.
