YouTube is currently facing a support team outage. According to the company, the extensive power outages in Spain and Portugal have resulted in some of its customer support team members being offline, including those who provide support for related European languages.
YouTube has not disclosed the exact number of employees affected by the outages or the number of support cases that have been put on hold.
The power outages in certain parts of Europe are causing significant disruptions, impacting various sectors such as traffic, public transportation, flights, trains, healthcare, schools, banking, phone services, industry, and more.
In a statement on X, YouTube announced that it is working to support its teams in the affected region and will resume any disrupted support cases as soon as possible. However, the power grid operator in Spain has estimated that it may take up to 10 hours to restore power in the country.
