The absurdist romance sim Date Everything! has a new release date. Following two delays, the game’s developers, Sassy Chap Games and Team17, announced on Thursday that the unique sandbox dating game will be launched on June 17.
Date Everything! is a fitting title for a game that allows players to romance human personifications of everyday household objects. The game offers three possible paths for each datable item, determined by dialogue choices: love, hate, and friendship. For example, players can fall in love with their cabinet, Cabrizio, form a friendship with their witty water heater, Winnifred, or develop a rivalry with their wall, the stoic Wallace.
Players will also encounter Doug, the embodiment of their existential dread, who resides in a dimly lit hallway, shirtless and muscular.
The game boasts multiple endings for each character, ensuring a high level of replayability. With 70,000 lines of dialogue and a talented voice cast, including Felicia Day (Supernatural, Fallout) and Troy Baker (The Last of Us, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle), players are in for a treat.
After missing its initially planned release dates in October and February, Date Everything! is now set to arrive on June 17. Assuming no further delays, digital versions will be available on PC, Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with physical copies to follow at a later date. Pricing information has not been announced yet.
A new trailer is available below, offering a glimpse into the game’s surreal and quirky world.
