UP Board Introduces AI-Powered Security Measures to Prevent Cheating in 2025 Exams

The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UP Board) is taking significant steps to ensure the integrity of the High School and Intermediate examinations for 2025. The board has proposed two major initiatives to prevent cheating and maintain fairness in the exams.

Enhanced Security Measures Using Artificial Intelligence

On one hand, the UP Board is enhancing the security of question papers in the strong rooms of examination centers using Artificial Intelligence (AI). This technology will help in detecting any tampering or cheating attempts, ensuring that the exams are conducted fairly and without any external influence.

Reduction in Unaided Schools as Exam Centers

On the other hand, the UP Board has proposed reducing the number of unaided schools as exam centers for 2025 compared to 2024. The board has proposed 7,657 examination centers, with 940 being government schools and 3,512 being aided schools. In contrast, 3,205 unaided schools have been proposed as examination centers. This reduction will help increase surveillance during the examinations and prevent any cheating attempts.

Increased Number of Government and Aided Schools

The UP Board has also increased the number of government and aided schools as examination centers. This move aims to provide more opportunities for students from these schools to take the exams, while also ensuring that the exams are conducted fairly and without any external influence.

Total Number of Students Registered for 2025 Exams

A total of 27,40,151 high school students and 26,98,446 intermediate students have registered for the 2025 board exams, totaling 54,38,597 students. In comparison, 55,25,308 students registered for the 2024 exams, which were held at 8,265 centers.

Comparison with 2024 Exams

The UP Board’s efforts to prevent cheating and maintain fairness in the exams are in line with the board’s commitment to providing a high-quality education to students. The board’s initiatives, such as the use of AI-powered security measures and the reduction in unaided schools as exam centers, demonstrate its commitment to ensuring that the exams are conducted fairly and without any external influence.
