Samsung is preparing to launch its first tri-fold device, dubbed the Galaxy G Fold, later this year. The device is expected to be released in at least two regions, including South Korea and China.

Clearly, the South Korean tech giant is actively expanding its foldable portfolio. Currently, the company has several new foldable smartphones in development, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip FE. In addition to these three devices, Samsung is also working on a new tri-fold device, known as the Galaxy G Fold, which is slated to launch this year.

At present, it is unclear whether the Galaxy G Fold will be released globally or in select regions. However, a recent report has confirmed that the device will be available in at least two regions.

A report from SmartPrix has revealed that two model numbers for the Galaxy tri-fold device have been spotted in the GSMA database. These model numbers are as follows:

The last letter ‘N’ in the first model number represents South Korea, while the ‘0’ in the second model number indicates China.

Both of these alleged tri-fold models are listed under the official market name Q7M. It has been confirmed that the company is working on two foldable models in the Galaxy Z Fold 7 lineup, which are expected to launch in July.

Samsung has yet to announce whether its first-ever tri-fold phone will be launched worldwide or in select markets, so it remains to be seen what will happen next.
