Although Samsung has introduced impressive features for its current flagship models, the Galaxy S25 series still lacks a certain functionality, despite running on the latest Android 15-based One UI 7 version.

The Galaxy S24 series has successfully integrated the media player into the Now Bar with the One UI 7 beta 6, but the S25 smartphones have not received this feature in the same manner.

According to a report by Ice Universe via X, the next software update will introduce music player integration within the Now Bar on the status bar for the Galaxy S25 series.

The latest One UI 7 beta update brought significant changes and features to the Galaxy S24 series, including the integration of the media player into the Now Bar. This feature allows the player to take a pill shape in the status bar when music is playing, and tapping on the pill opens the full music player widget.

Unfortunately, this functionality is missing from the Galaxy S25 series models. While users can see the Now Bar on their device’s lock screen and AOD when music is playing, the music player does not take a pill shape like it does on the S24 series Now Bar.

However, the leaker claims that the next software update for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series will bring the missing music player feature to the pill-shaped bar on the status bar, similar to what S24 lineup owners currently enjoy.

According to the leak, Samsung may provide this feature to Galaxy S25 series owners with the upcoming April 2025 security patch, which is expected to be the next update for Galaxy devices.
