Mission: Impossible is approaching its 30th anniversary as a film franchise, with the upcoming installment, The Final Reckoning, scheduled for release in May. To commemorate this milestone and the franchise’s iconic association with Tom Cruise, a museum exhibition is being launched.

According to Variety, the Museum of Moving Image (MoMI) in Astoria, NY, is introducing a “Story and Spectacle” initiative focused on the Mission: Impossible series, highlighting Tom Cruise’s dedication to performing stunts in each film. The exhibit will feature sections dedicated to a major stunt or setpiece from each movie, such as the Burj Khalifa scene in Ghost Protocol or Ethan Hunt clinging to a plane in Rogue Nation, providing insight into their creation.

“For nearly three decades, the Mission: Impossible films have captivated audiences with their suspenseful stories and unparalleled practical stunts,” said Barbara Miller, MoMI’s deputy director for curation. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Paramount Pictures on this major exhibition, exploring the series’ unique achievements and creating an engaging, informative experience for fans and visitors alike.”

The “Mission: Impossible—Story and Spectacle” exhibit is set to open on Friday, April 18, with Final Reckoning hitting theaters on May 23. Tickets for the exhibit are available for purchase here.
