Apple’s latest has reached its lowest price point yet in an early deal. The M4 Mac mini is available for $499, which is 17 percent off the usual price of $599, and comes with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Other models are also discounted by $100, with the 16GB/512GB version priced at $699 and the 24GB/512GB model at $899. Additionally, the Mac mini with the M4 Pro chip is available for $1,299, down from its usual price of $1,399.
The base model of the M4 Mac mini comes with 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD.
The M4 Mac mini received a review score of last fall, with our reviewer, Devindra Hardawar, noting that it packs a significant amount of power into its compact frame. He stated, “The Mac mini was the fastest computer I’ve reviewed this year, at least when it comes to CPU benchmarks.” The fact that it comes with 16GB of RAM, which is now standard for new Macs, is a significant advantage. Additionally, the device features useful front ports, including two USB-C ports and a headphone jack, in addition to the connections on the back.
The compact size of the M4 Mac mini means it won’t occupy much desk space, yet it still packs enough power for tasks like light video editing and some gaming. According to Devindra, the Mac mini was able to run Lies of P at 1,440p with maxed-out graphics settings at 60fps, as well as Resident Evil 4 and No Man’s Sky, both of which maintained a steady 60fps at 1,440p.
