Samsung has introduced a range of new Home screen customization features with the recent major update of Home Up, powered by One UI 7. Although these features were initially spotted on flat-screen phones, feedback has prompted the Korean giant to consider expanding them to Foldables and Tablets as well.

Good Lock’s Home Up DIY feature and Gesture Customizations for Foldable and Tablet Devices

The development team behind Samsung’s Good Lock Home Up is working on adapting the new One UI 7 Home Up module for compatibility with foldables and tablets. According to recent information, the team has already made significant progress, with 30% of the development complete, and a dedicated update for Foldable and tablet devices is expected to be released soon.

The upcoming update is expected to include features such as the DIY feature, gesture customization, and more for Samsung Galaxy Foldables and Tablets.

It’s worth noting that the development team is currently facing some challenges in implementing these features on devices like the Foldable, which has a “Cover screen mirroring” option. There is an ongoing discussion on how to incorporate the DIY feature into this mode.

In addition, Home Up supports both portrait and landscape modes, so the company may need some time to adjust the feature to work seamlessly with these modes. Despite these challenges, there is a possibility that we could see these features working on devices by the end of this month or early April.
