HCLTech, the IT company, and Intel, the American chip manufacturer, have jointly launched DataTrustShield, a new enterprise data security service. This service aims to strengthen the protection of sensitive data within cloud environments. Leveraging trusted execution environments like Intel Trust Domain Extensions (Intel TDX) and Intel Trust Authority, HCLTech’s DataTrustShield is designed to secure sensitive information during cloud operations, as per a regulatory filing.
The solution prioritizes organizations that need robust data security in collaborative and cloud settings without sacrificing operational efficiency. It has undergone testing on Google Cloud and is planned for integration with other hyperscalers in the future. According to Anand Swamy, EVP and head of tech and ISV ecosystem at HCLTech, this offering significantly advances data security, providing high levels of protection.
He further stated that by utilizing Intel’s cutting-edge technology, the offering safeguards digital assets and bolsters confidence and trust in cloud environments. HCLTech’s shares traded at Rs 1,897.80 apiece on the BSE on Tuesday, reflecting a 0.31 percent increase over the previous day’s closing price.
