Additionally, there is clear evidence that Season 7 will continue storylines that showrunner Charlie Brooker has <a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/black-mirror-will-get-six-new-episodes-in-2025-081523986.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:already promised to revisit;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">previously promised to revisit<\/a>, notably the episode &#8220;USS Callister,&#8221; which revolves around a group of startup employees trapped in a <em>Star Trek<\/em>-inspired simulation by their boss.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the trailer reveals some surprises, including one of the six new episodes that seems to return to the world of <a data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\" class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2018-12-28-black-mirror-bandersnatch-interactive-netflix-movie.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Black Mirror: Bandersnatch;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Black Mirror: Bandersnatch<\/em><\/a>, the interactive <em>Black Mirror<\/em> episode that Netflix released in 2018, before <a data-i13n=\"cpos:4;pos:1\" class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/entertainment\/streaming\/netflix-is-removing-much-of-its-interactive-content-185557989.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:abandoning interactive movies;cpos:4;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">abandoning interactive movies<\/a> in 2024. The trailer also suggests that fundamental <em>Black Mirror<\/em> concepts, such as &#8220;thinking of the human brain as a computer,&#8221; will be present in the new season.<\/p>\n<p>According to Brooker, this season can be described as &#8220;a little bit OG <em>Black Mirror<\/em>&#8221; and &#8220;back to basics in many ways,&#8221; which may be reassuring for fans who believe he can recapture the novelty and meanness of the show&#8217;s UK run.
