NPCI has issued an online warning to alert users about a new scam. The scam, known as the call merging scam<\/a>, involves fraudsters using a phone’s call merge feature to steal one-time passwords (OTPs) and commit financial fraud<\/a>. In a post on microblogging site X (formerly Twitter), NPCI wrote, \u201cScammers are using call merging to trick you into revealing OTPs. Don\u2019t fall for it! Stay alert and protect your money.
