Earlier in the day, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.calcalistech.com\/ctechnews\/article\/b1k7e0bcjl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Calcalist<\/a> had initially reported the breach.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Insight Partners&#8217; statement, the company detected an &#8220;unauthorized third party&#8221; that had gained access to &#8220;certain Insight information systems&#8221; through a sophisticated <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/01\/31\/techcrunch-reference-guide-to-security-terminology\/#social-engineering\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">social engineering attack<\/a> on January 16. However, the company did not provide specifics about the nature of the social engineering attack.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company stated that it promptly responded to the incident, taking swift action to &#8220;contain, remediate, and initiate an investigation&#8221; within a matter of hours after detection.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With over $90 billion in assets under management and investments in several cybersecurity companies, including Armis and Wiz, Insight Partners has notified its stakeholders about the breach.
