As reported by Bloomberg, the current funding round is expected to be led by Align Ventures and Parkway Venture Capital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Figure specializes in the development of humanoid robots for both commercial and residential applications. The demand for humanoid robots has been fueled by the current AI boom, with other companies such as Austin-based Apptronik <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/02\/13\/apptronik-raises-350m-to-build-humanoid-robots-with-help-from-google\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">recently raising $350 million<\/a> in funding, and Meta reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/02\/14\/metas-next-big-bet-may-be-humanoid-robotics\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">exploring opportunities in robotics<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Figure has already <a href=\"https:\/\/www.press.bmwgroup.com\/global\/article\/detail\/T0444265EN\/successful-test-of-humanoid-robots-at-bmw-group-plant-spartanburg?language=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">secured a deal with BMW<\/a> to supply some of its robots.
