Some of these scouts are employed by prominent companies such as Poolside and 11x, the latter of which recently secured <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2024\/09\/30\/11x-ai-a-developer-of-ai-sales-reps-has-raised-50m-series-b-led-by-a16z-sources-say\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a $50 million Series B<\/a> led by the firm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although many of a16z&#8217;s scouts are based in the U.S., the European scouts can be found in various countries, including Sweden, France, Germany, Estonia, the U.K., and Amsterdam. Some notable examples include Pippa Lamb, a partner at Sweet Capital, and Guillaume Roux-Romestaing, who leads a partnership at 11x, as reported by Sifted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These scouts typically engage in up to eight deals per year and write checks ranging from $10,000 to $25,000, according to Sifted.
