Eiza Gonz\u00e1lez (<a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/3-body-problem-netflix-sci-fi-series-review-no-spoilers-1851313711\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><em>3 Body Problem<\/em><\/a>) and Aaron Paul (<em>Breaking Bad<\/em>) star and if you love sci-fi with lots of colors, cool technology, weird creatures, and a whole lot of mystery, this is going to be right up your alley.<\/p>\n<p><em>Ash<\/em> will have its world premiere at South by Southwest in Austin later this year before opening everywhere on March 21. An amalgamation of a bunch of things we\u2019ve seen before\u2014 desert island, mysterious stranger, amnesia, etc.\u2014just with a few new twists. Gonz\u00e1lez\u2019s character Riya wakes up on a mysterious planet with little to no memory of how she got there or why she\u2019s there. A stranger named Brion (Paul) soon arrives and says he\u2019s a friend but we don\u2019t know that. He <em>could<\/em> be telling the truth, or he might very well be the person who did all this to her.<\/p>\n<p>And around all of it, you\u2019ve got lots of snazzy gadgets, gorgeous visuals, and creepy beings. Basically, the movie looks like everything we love about science fiction all rolled into one. Now, will the movie live up to those expectations? We\u2019ll find out in the coming weeks once it screens in public at South by Southwest. But for now, we\u2019re choosing to be optimistic and hoping that <em>Ash<\/em> delivers the kinds of thrills, chills, and spills we love in our sci-fi.<\/p>\n<p>Written by Jonni Remmler, with music and direction by Flying Lotus, <em>Ash<\/em> comes to theaters on March 21.
