This announcement brings with it a plethora of exciting presentations from both major and minor global studios, all celebrating the enduring appeal and global reach of animation. Notable studios such as Disney, Netflix, <a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/luke-wilson-daddy-bruce-wayne-in-merry-little-batman-1851077754\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Warner Bros. The specific short that will be spotlighted at Annecy, titled \u201cBlack,\u201d is directed by Shinya Ohira and revolves around \u201ca surreal battle between the past and the present, light and darkness, and life and death, unfolding in the haunted psyche of an Imperial trooper on the brink of defeat.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Pixar Animation Studios Spotlight<\/h2>\n<p>Pixar&#8217;s Chief Creative Officer, Pete Docter (<em>Monsters, Inc., Up, Inside Out, Soul<\/em>), will present an exclusive showcase of the studio&#8217;s upcoming projects, including <em>Elio, Hoppers,<\/em> and <em>Toy Story 5.<\/em> The festival will also commemorate 30 years of <em>Toy Story<\/em> with a new behind-the-scenes look at the pioneering CG animated film that started it all.<\/p>\n<h2>Walt Disney Animation Studios\u2019 <em>Zootopia 2<\/em><\/h2>\n<p>Walt Disney Animation Studios&#8217; Chief Creative Officer and award-winning director-writer Jared Bush (<em>Encanto, Zootopia, Moana<\/em>) will make his first appearance at Annecy to provide a sneak peek at <em>Zootopia 2.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Marvel Animation \u2013 <em>Eyes of Wakanda<\/em><\/h2>\n<p>Marvel Animation will host a special &#8220;making-of&#8221; session that will double as an exclusive premiere screening of the first episodes of its <em>Black Panther<\/em> universe series, <em>Eyes of Wakanda.<\/em> The story follows the exploits of brave Wakandan warriors throughout history as they undertake perilous missions to retrieve Vibranium artifacts from the enemies of Wakanda, known as the Hatut Zaraze. The series is set to premiere on Disney+ in August.<\/p>\n<h2>A Legendary Encounter: Icons of Animation Celebrate <em>The Simpsons<\/em><\/h2>\n<p><em>The Simpsons<\/em> creator Matt Groening, executive producer and showrunner Matt Selman, and animator David Silverman are slated to be honored at the festival for the longest-running animated show&#8217;s achievements in the arts. This project pays homage to the aesthetic and narrative codes of anime, captivating manga enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<h2>Sony Animation<\/h2>\n<p>The all-animal animated sports feature <em>Goat<\/em> from Tyree Dillihay and co-director Adam Rosette will be featured at the festival. There is no mention of any <em>Spider-Verse<\/em> related content, however.<\/p>\n<h2>DreamWorks<\/h2>\n<p><em>The Bad Guys 2<\/em> will make its debut at the festival.
