The same day, SpaceX successfully launched and deployed 24 satellites, and I had the opportunity to visit Nintendo&#8217;s UK office, located on the outskirts of London, where I played a demo of a game that <a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sXE8LdXzeHM\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:still isn\u2019t out;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">still hasn\u2019t been released<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, according to the recent Switch 2 presentation, <em>Hollow Knight: Silksong<\/em> is <a data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/gaming\/hollow-knight-silksong-purportedly-arrives-this-year-144515332.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:expected to arrive at some point this year.;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">expected to arrive at some point this year<\/a>. I played that demo so long ago that it feels like it might have been just a dream.<\/p>\n<p>Without rewriting my <a data-i13n=\"cpos:6;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2019-06-26-hollow-knight-silksong-switch-hands-on.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:six-year-old hands-on impressions;cpos:6;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">six-year-old hands-on impressions<\/a> entirely, the new game features a new playable character named Hornet, who was a repeatable boss fight in the original <em>Hollow Knight<\/em>, with silk-based attacks and faster, more agile gameplay. The game also offers a more aggressive play style, with Hornet able to heal herself using silk charges and repair damage with silk bundles left behind from prior unsuccessful attempts. This gameplay twist differs from the original, where players had to beat the Hollow Knight shadow.<\/p>\n<p>I subtitled my hands-on impressions, stating that <em>Silksong<\/em> would be \u201cworth the wait.\u201d At the time, I had just finished <em>Hollow Knight<\/em> on the Switch, investing more hours than I care to admit, and was craving more bug-shaped Metroidvania adventures. <em>Silksong<\/em> felt fresh, more responsive, faster, and flashier \u2014 and I just wanted to play more <em>Hollow Knight<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Barely six seconds of footage during Nintendo&#8217;s Switch 2 presentation was enough to re-ignite the <em>Silksong<\/em> fandom, revealing nothing new except some downhill traversal.
