However, Tan did not provide specifics on what the company considers core and non-core assets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, Tan revealed that Intel plans to introduce new products, including customized semiconductors tailored to specific customer needs. Nonetheless, he did not mention any plans to break up the company, a potential restructuring strategy that had been <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/intel-could-split-rivals-heres-161600625.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">discussed in recent months<\/a>, according to Bloomberg.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tan&#8217;s appointment as Intel&#8217;s CEO was <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/03\/12\/intel-appoints-lip-bu-tan-as-its-next-ceo\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">announced on March 12<\/a>, and he assumed the role on March 18, roughly three months after the departure of former CEO Pat Gelsinger, who was <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2024\/12\/02\/intel-ceo-pat-gelsinger-retires\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">forced to leave the position on December 1<\/a>.
