The game was initially introduced under the codename <a data-i13n=\"elm:context_link;elmt:doNotAffiliate;cpos:1;pos:1\" class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/gaming\/riot-is-making-a-physical-league-of-legends-tcg-and-its-not-lor-162923406.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Project K;elm:context_link;elmt:doNotAffiliate;cpos:1;pos:1;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Project K<\/a> in December. A recent trailer showcased new card artwork, featuring fresh interpretations of <em>LoL<\/em> characters beyond their in-game champion portraits. Additionally, the card user interface has been further refined compared to the version revealed late last year.<\/p>\n<p>The development team at Riot has incorporated player feedback into the game&#8217;s first set, known as Origins. This set will comprise over 300 unique cards and will feature familiar <em>LoL<\/em> champions such as Jinx, Viktor, and Lee Sin in pre-built decks. For dedicated collectors, there will also be secret rare versions of champion cards with exclusive artwork.<\/p>\n<p>Besides the previously announced multiplayer feature, <em>Riftbound<\/em> offers a pathway for newcomers to the card game genre. The game will include a feature called Proving Grounds, where champions like Lux, Annie, Master Yi, and Garen will guide new players through the basics of TCGs.<\/p>\n<p>The release timeline for <em>Riftbound<\/em> is becoming clearer, with a launch scheduled in China for summer 2025.
