A sequel to Tomodachi Life has been teased, and with the last few Switch 1 games announced, the stage is set for Nintendo’s next video presentation, which will focus on the Switch 2. The “Nintendo Direct: Switch 2” presentation is scheduled to take place on April 2 at 9AM ET / 6AM PT and will be streamed on Nintendo’s YouTube channel.

In January, Nintendo revealed the design of the new console in a short teaser video, confirming features such as a larger screen and hinting at new features like a new Mario Kart game and mouse functionality for the Switch 2’s Joy-Con controllers. The April 2 presentation is expected to provide more information about the Switch successor, including its price and launch date.

You can find our article collecting Switch 2 rumors and reports for a preview of what Nintendo might cover. Notably, recent leaks suggest that Nintendo may open up pre-orders for the Switch 2 as early as April 9, with the device expected to ship in June.

We will have to wait for the Nintendo Direct to confirm these details and hopefully learn more about the launch lineup of Switch 2 games. You can watch the stream on Nintendo’s YouTube channel or right in this article once it goes live.
