The company began taking orders for the seven-seater SUV in November 2024 and initiated <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2024\/12\/05\/lucid-motors-completes-its-first-gravity-suv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">initial deliveries<\/a> to employees, friends, and family in December.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Marc Winterhoff, Lucid&#8217;s interim CEO, &#8220;We have nearly completed building the vehicles needed for our studios and test drives. By the end of April, we will resume delivering the Gravity to customers.&#8221; Winterhoff made this announcement on Thursday evening at a brand activation event in New York City.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lucid employees at the event, which featured a surprise performance by Cautious Clay, confirmed that the company is currently ramping up production of the Gravity at its factory in Casa Grande, Arizona. The U.S.-based factory is expected to be beneficial for the EV startup, especially considering President Donald Trump&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/03\/27\/trumps-auto-tariffs-are-a-gift-to-tesla\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">new 25% auto tariffs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Lucid Gravity, priced at $94,900, has an official EPA range estimate of 450 miles and boasts the performance of a sports car.
