With the highly anticipated release of the Nintendo Switch 2 on the horizon, this new feature will simplify the process of transferring existing Switch games to new devices for users.

Currently, Switch games can be purchased in either physical or digital form. Physical game cards can be easily transferred between devices by ejecting and reinserting them, whereas digital downloads have proven to be more challenging to port from one device to another.

Slated for release in late April, the Virtual Game Cards are intended to make digital games function similarly to their physical counterparts.
