At a special designer showcase during Shanghai’s Fashion week 2025, Disney<\/a> presented a celebration of Toy Story<\/em><\/a> designer apparel to mark the Pixar<\/a> movie’s 30th anniversary. Indeed, 30 years have passed, a fact that is as astonishing as it is unbelievable. The looks showcased on the runway, inspired by the vintage toys from the film, are equally astounding.<\/p>\n

The Disney Style account<\/a> on Instagram shared the showcase, providing a glimpse into the pieces that left us in awe. From elevated, cosplay-inspired outfits to minimalist motifs and bold deconstructions, it’s fascinating to see how beloved Pixar characters have been reimagined.<\/p>\n

The Buzz Lightyear looks are undoubtedly impressive in our io9 eyes, while the Western-inspired attire pushes the boundaries of fashion. The outfit with the glass case and Pixar logo beanie bears a resemblance to Silicon Valley Al’s Online Toy Barn, if he were a tech-savvy toy collector. It’s also delightful to see other characters from the franchise featured in the pieces, including Lotso, Forky, and Key and Peele’s Ducky and Bunny duo. Among the outfits shown, the Lightyear-inspired Clueless<\/em> pleated shirt and jacket stands out as a favorite.<\/p>\n
