On Thursday, Nintendo announced that <em>Monument Valley<\/em> and <em>Monument Valley 2<\/em> will be available on the eShop starting April 15, with the latest installment, <a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/gaming\/monument-valley-3-breaks-the-series-old-boundaries-by-adding-a-sailboat-013638578.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Monument Valley 3;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Monument Valley 3<\/em><\/a>, set to arrive sometime this summer.<\/p>\n<div class=\"caas-iframe-wrapper\" data-embed-anchor=\"bf4c6655-8ee6-571a-93f2-e86811e8217f\">\n<div class=\"caas-iframe youtube\" style=\"padding-bottom:56%\" data-type=\"youtube\">\n<blockquote data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/X10dUltD8Eo?rel=0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" scrolling=\"no\"><p>\n<noscript><iframe title=\"Monument Valley \u2013 Nintendo Direct 3.27.2025\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/X10dUltD8Eo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>This is not the first time <em>Monument Valley<\/em> and <em>Monument Valley 2<\/em> have been available on platforms other than mobile devices. In 2022, the series creator, Ustwo Games, released the two games on <a data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/monument-valley-pc-steam-widescreen-ustwo-games-130054491.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:PC;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PC<\/a>. The work done at that time likely simplified the process of porting the games to the Switch, as there was probably no need to rework the art assets for the console&#8217;s widescreen display. Both games will include all the <a data-i13n=\"cpos:4;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/monument-valley-2-new-chapter-ustwogames-play4forests-conservation-141058416.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:additional chapters;cpos:4;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">additional chapters<\/a>, add-ons, and DLC that Ustwo has released over the years.<\/p>\n<p\u201cFor most people, this will likely be their first opportunity to play <em>Monument Valley 3<\/em>. Although the game has been available on mobile devices since late last year, it requires a Netflix subscription to access.
