This confession, as recorded by Lutheran pastor Arthur Beaucarne, recounts Good Stab&#8217;s early life, his perspective on the atrocities perpetrated by US troops &#8211; including the 1870 massacre that resulted in the deaths of approximately 200 Blackfeet members &#8211; and his transformation into a blood-drinking creature driven by a desire for revenge, facilitated by supernatural forces.<\/p>\n<p>This historical fiction work is a compelling read that confronts the reader with the harsh realities of American history, while also redefining the vampire as a genuinely terrifying folk monster.
