Apple has made several significant announcements recently, including the refresh of its Mac and iPad lineups for 2025. This move has led to a plethora of deals on older models, which are now coinciding with the Amazon Spring Sale. One notable deal is on the 10th-gen iPad, which is currently $80 off, priced at $269. This brings the tablet close to its record-low price.

The 10th-gen iPad was released in late 2022 and, until the new model is thoroughly reviewed, remains our top pick for the best budget iPad. It features several updates, including a switch to a USB-C charging port and improved performance compared to the previous base iPad model. Additionally, Apple has moved the front-facing camera to the landscape edge, making video calls more comfortable when using the tablet in landscape mode.

In our review, the 10th-gen iPad scored 85 points. While the screen was somewhat lacking compared to the iPad Air, the updates and improvements made it a solid choice for those not needing the highest specs. For more resource-intensive tasks, a more powerful tablet might be necessary, but for basic use, the 10th-gen iPad is more than capable.

For those interested in the latest base iPad, it is now available for pre-order. Amazon is offering a small discount on the latest iPad, reducing the price from $349 to $329. The new model features an A16 chipset and doubles the base storage to 128GB. However, it lacks support for Apple Intelligence.

The 10th-gen iPad at $269 is an excellent deal for anyone looking for a budget-friendly iPad for basic tasks. Meanwhile, the latest iPad model offers upgraded specs for those who need more power, although at a higher price point. Both options are available, catering to different needs and budgets.

Introduction to Apple’s Recent Announcements Apple has made several significant announcements recently, including the refresh of its Mac and iPad lineups for 2025.
